Beginners’ French – Stortford

If you have never studied French, apart from some time on an app, this course is for you.  It starts right from the beginning, building an understanding of the structure of the language.

What you’ll learn?

• Key phrases and greetings so your communication begins
• How it is pronounced and when to use informal or formal forms
• Have a conversation in a restaurant or café
• Express likes and dislikes, tell the time
• Get and give directions and buy something in a shop
• Use the present tense of regular verbs confidently and some irregular verbs

Topics include: professions and nationalities, family, food and drinks, daily routine, colours and clothes.

How It Works

• Academic year: 6 modules, each lasting 6 weeks
• Start date: 24 Sep 2025
• Flexible: Pay per module, stop whenever you’re ready—just let us know one month in advance
• Breaks for half terms, Christmas, and Easter
