What do you need it for?
For Study
IELTS Academic
If you want to study at university in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other countries where the course is in English, a high score in IELTS may be required to prove that your English is good enough. For example, UK Universities often require a score of 7.0 to 7.5 for an honours degree course.
IELTS General Training
The IELTS General Training test is suitable for those applying to study below degree level. This includes an English-speaking school or college
For Work
English is the third most commonly spoken language spoken in the world. Taking IELTS and achieving an IELTS test and achieving a score of 6 or above can greatly enhance your work prospects. It also demonstrates to employers that you are committed to working and living in the country.
For Professional Registration
Many of the registration bodies that accept IELTS represent the health care professions. This includes industries such as nursing, medicine and pharmacy, where English language competence is of critical importance.
Other professional bodies in particular countries requiring an IELTS result include accounting, engineering, law and veterinary practice.

Intensive Online IELTS Preparation Course
This Academic IELTS preparation course will help you achieve the best possible result in the exam. It is run in our Zoom video classrooms with a maximum of 8 students and is taught by highly qualified and experienced tutors who know what you need to get the result you want.
Focused Individual Coaching
This course is designed for students who are already getting results close to the IELTS score they want. They will get 1:1 coaching to help with the specific areas that they need to improve – for example, the writing paper.
This coaching is offered as either online in our Zoom video classrooms or face-to-face in Bishops Stortford.
